Position: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer generated reports.
• Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information.
• Research and analyze new design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of design or applications.
• Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
• Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, system and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
• Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using computer- assisted design/drafting equipment and software.
• Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.

Job Requirements
• BSME required, MS preferred.
• 5-7 years Product Design & Development
• Experience in design and documentation of mechanical and electro-mechanical components and systems.
• Demonstrated skill in the conceptual design and layout of products. Skilled in the design and documentation of precision machined parts, composite materials, high speed rotational equipment, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills and interpersonal skills.
• Skilled in the use of SolidWorks 2011 or better, ANSI drafting standards and GD&T.
• Experience with one or more of the following tools and methods: Taguchi, DFMA,FMEA.

Position: Electrical Engineer

Job Description
• Provide conceptual design of complex Mechanical and Electro-mechanical products, assemblies and accessories. Complete tasks according to schedule, budget, costs and design objectives. Monitor and report work progress.
• Interface with marketing, in the creation of product definition and functional requirements. Lead the generation of Engineering Specifications, provides cost, manpower, capital, and expense estimates, along with task lists, milestones and schedules related to the development of new products.
• Direct the manufacture, test and analysis of prototype units and mockups.
• Insure timely preparation of drawings, Bills of Materials, ECO’s and Engineering Release packages. Select and specify tolerances materials and processes for designs as required. Direct and check the work of Engineers, draftsmen and designers as required ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and national standards. Ensure that quality goals and objectives are met.
• Participate in or lead product development teams and interface with Project Engineer, Program Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, Production, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Vendors, Subcontractors and Customers on issues related to design, manufacture, and use of parts or products.
• Provide input to maintain and recommend changes for documentation, standards and guidelines such as; revision control, libraries, common components, layer lists, database management, etc.
• Maintain technical proficiency, mechanical and electrical design skills.
• Maintain awareness of competitive products and developments.
• Maintain optimum working conditions and housekeeping. Comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Assume additional roles and responsibilities as required.

Job Requirements

• BSME required or AS in Engineering to include such courses as Machine Design and Electrical Fundamentals with the equivalent of 8 years experience in machine design, production applications and manufacturing techniques to attain sufficient engineering background. (MS preferred).
• Minimum 5 years experience in design and documentation of mechanical and electro-mechanical components and systems.
• Demonstrated skill in the conceptual design and layout of products. Skilled in the design and documentation of sheet metal, stampings, machined parts, molded plastics, electro-mechanical enclosures, motor drives, cables, wire harnesses, etc.
• Possess written and verbal communications skills to express technical concepts to management, marketing and members of development teams.
• Skilled in the use of CAD, solid modeling, drafting standards and GD&T.
• Skilled in the use of spreadsheet and word processing tools.
• Capable of effectively leading product development teams.
• Skilled in the use of project scheduling tools preferred.
• Experience with one or more of the following tools and methods; Taguchi, DFMA, FEA.
• Basic understanding of electronics is required.

Position: Production Technician

Job Description
Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, and electronic and pneumatic tooling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of mechanical assembly duties. Assembles, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains components, assembles and systems.
Works from process sheets, schematics, engineering drawings, and written instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and develops report data in prescribed format.
Uses a variety of methods, sequences, and setups to inspect or test specific equipment or product, making modifications and adjustments as necessary.
Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
Prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Machine, modify and rework mechanical piece parts from existing and/or raw materials, per released and/or red-lined drawings.
Provide machine shop support to Production, when schedule does not allow for use of external machine shop suppliers.
Provide input to Engineering on proposed redlines to existing drawings, Shop Processes (SP’s), Work Instructions (WI’s),Test Procedures (TP’s), and Shop Travelers.
Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce metal parts including non-metal parts.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
Usage of various Quality Inspection Measurement Tools (Digital and Analog Micrometers, Drop Gauges, Optical Comparator

GENERAL REQUIRMENTS:
High school graduate, AA degree preferred.
Experience in fabrication and assembly of mechanical systems; automotive, airframe or other engine mechanic experience desired.
Must be able to handle a wide variety of hand tools (wrenches, caliper, crimpers, etc.)
Experience with high speed rotating machinery.
Experienced in operating tests.
Use hand and power tools as needed.
Knowledge of reading, writing, and basic math.
